From Here to There Album Cover

I wrote this song last on a whim for the album, “From Here to There” in 2024. I wanted to add an acoustic track that used a different tuning, and landed on this after tuning to DADEAE and slapping a capo on the 4th fret.

This album (for the most part) is my feelings toward the move I made after living in a van for 8 months and permanently moving 10+ hours away from everyone I knew at the time. But it’s not a negative thing in my opinion, just a big change.

Let it out, the frustration you feel
And I'll try my best to fit into your shoes
Well I think that I can be of use
I just need to know if you can wait for me to grow

Cause all my life I've been too quick to judge
And I can be such an asshole
It wasn't til we met that I broke that spell
I was disillusioned and lost before you

It's been slow but I can see the change
And we've gone so far, but still I reach for it
And I yearn to feel what makes me real
But that's life they say, getting older doesn't make me

Bitter at the thought of losing all my friends
I've had to make new ones
It wasn't til we met that I broke that spell
I've got to remember they all feel the same
